Hi Michael,

I notice you post from a Uni address. Is it possible that the Uni student computers have a similar behaviour to those at the Uni I am at? At the end of each login session, the computers rollback anything the students have done to a known state, including any program updates.

This means that to update a program and have it "stick", it needs to be done by one of the system administrators.

You could examine this further by watching the Textmate versionas shown in the About box.

Hope this helps!

By “impression” I mean: every second week I have a computer lab session in this pool and pretty much each time
some students can’t start TextMate because they get the message that it’s outdated.  I will check what settings are
used in Textmate the next days.  As I am personally using VIM so I am not familiar about update settings used in
TextMate.  I understand that you are interested in users haven up-to-date versions.  But we would be more interested
in buying a license that works until the next Mac OS X version.  At least updates should happen via the AppStore so
that we apply all updates together once a month.
