I noticed that if I have two files with the same name in different projects then textmate2 sometimes does not open a new tab when I request to edit the file and instead sends me to the other one that was already open.  Sometimes this means you easily start changing code in the wrong file!  It's not a problem I normally close a file with same name before opening new one, it seems aspects work with two files of same name but others not.  Also there is no longer anyway to set files to default binary - so I frequently try to open a flash *.fla and it opens in the hex editor and then often crashes textmate2.
When trying to edit a code file *.as in flashIDE, it seems textmate now locks the file if it also open in Textmate, I prefered previous option where you could edit in either and it would just ask you to accept it had been edited externally... can this be as per old behaviour.  But generally the new Textmate2 seems good, just these teething issues mean that I would prefer to go back to previous maybe.

Ps any progress on the new file from tab, it's really a pain not to have this.

Many Thanks

Justin
