The coloring of text is a horribly slow process.  On my machine - about the same as yours - a simple HTML file of fewer than 50 lines colors as if it were over a 300 baud modem!  You can watch it go line-by-line.<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

I&#39;m having serious issues with highlighting, mostly with javascript files. Whenever I open a minified js file or a file with over 300-400 lines of code, textmate process will go over 100% and won&#39;t highlight anything else until I quit it.<br>
