I’ll merge the PR later today, though for scientific notation support using the native calculator (bc) would it be sufficient to do a regex replace on the input expression, for example:

perl -pe 's/(-?\d+)e(-?\d+)/(\1*10^\2)/gi' <<< 140e9*1.31/65e6|bc -l
2821.53846153846153846153
