A few users have been surprised that “escape” with no prefix/suffix inserts completion suggestions so I modified it to only do that, if there is a custom completion command which provide candidates: https://github.com/textmate/textmate/commit/7b182c428bbcaef963088c3a6aca874fa0823fcd
