Mark, thank you so much for this. I had typed <code> which kpsewhich </code> before, but didn't realize that it was supposed to say something. It is clear that I do not have kpsewhich any more. Googling "install kpsewhich," "mac kpsewhich," and "kpsewhich" do not tell me how to do this.
