Heh. That might explain the trouble I've had the few times I tried to<br>
get completion working... :-) Good suggestion about the bindings and<br>
cmd-shift-L. I chose the bindings I did many moons ago to match the<br>
Windows editor I had been using, without really bothering to see what<br>
they were stepping on.<br>

I seem to remember that I asked on this list around that time. Allan's<br>
answer was that there was no other way, but that I shouldn't be mucking<br>

First of all, thanks in advance for any help. This is an urgent issue-<br>
I had been working on a CSS file all day, I saved it hundreds of times<br>
throughout the day, everything was peachy, then all of a sudden text<br>
mate froze up and when I re-opened textmate my file is now completely<br>
empty.<br>

I really need this file back tonight as it is due tomorrow!<br>
<br>
Any help finding it would be awesome.<br>

when TM shows an empty file its very likely that the file IS empty.<br>
Nevertheless I would check that with another editor... and then hope that I have a backup of this. (Time machine?)<br>
Maybe there is a version in the trash bin?<br>
Maybe something in the clip board?<br>

Maybe its a good idea to turn on ?Atomic saves? (in the future) and run time machine in the background.<br>
(Btw... as a 4 years + TM user I never experienced the disaster you suffer.)<br>

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already checked trash, hidden files,<br>
clip board, etc nothing... and I do have autosave turned on, it froze<br>
as I was saving manually. then the application quit, and when I open<br>
the application again the file was empty. It shows that the last edit<br>
was at the time of the freeze- its like as if textmate saved an empty<br>
file over it. If I could get the previous verision that I saved about<br>
10 minutes before hand I would be all set.<br>

One of the things I like the most about Dropbox is that it has a snapshot of *every single* save that you can get back with a couple of clicks from the website.<br>
