I think that simplest is to create a new theme and copy-paste the content of the theme you would like to edit. In the Bundle Editor, click File -> New -> Theme -> Create. Note that copying the file on disk is not always a good idea because each bundle item has a UUID that needs to be unique. This is automatically generated when a new item is created.
