Hi Ross,

as usual:

Which OS X version?
Which TextMate version?
Which R version?
Can you execute via CMD+R a normal R script?

Running El Capitan it could be that TM doesn't find R. On the Terminal execute:

which R

and check in TM > Preferences > Variables whether you can find the outputted path in the variable PATH (and make sure that this variable is activated!).
