The problem is known, both in the form of the ticket you linked to,  
and the follwoing troubleshooting pages:

As I have previously stated, sourcing shell files was (in retrospect)  
a bad idea, but it’s how it presently works, and I don’t plan to  
change it in the 1.x line, sorry.
