Thanks Paul, I have check this issue with your suggestion and found the require 'rubygem' line was there. I am suspicious that it may be due to the environment. I am using Locomotive2 on a Macintosh. I am now looking into that as a possible issue. But thanks for your reply. It was something I had thought about as well.
