Should be possible with GUI scripting:

So you'd either have AppleScript navigate the menus (View > Font > 
Bigger/Smaller) or fake keypresses ⌘+, ⌘-.

That said, there might be a better solution than AppleScript/GUI 
scripting, but I'm not aware of it.
