If you have installed the "mate" utility (TextMate asked at first
launch) then you can use it to edit those files (also other TextMate
files like commands ...).

Just open a new terminal window and type "mate " (without the quotes,
but note the space) and then drag the file you want to edit into the
window and hit return. Now this file gets opened by TextMate no matter
what file it is.
