[TxMt] ^X not working for Ruby -or- Rails

Bingo!! You got the winning number. Thank you Paul. That was the
problem. That was one thing I did not try and SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE
FIRST THING TO TRY!   Sorry I took  precious time from all you guys,
but thanks a million for helping me.
