    Select the folder (directory) in Finder, drag it on TextMate icon,
see what happens. Then "Edit->Find->Find in Project.." (cmd-shift-F)
will work fine, no need to create a project.

    Alternatively, you can open the folder (directory) from the
"File->Open..." (cmd-O) menu.
