[TxMt] Terminal replacement

I hope this isn't too OT, but does anyone know a way to get the same
effect in iTerm that Allan talks about here :

I never found iTerm to be as slow as a lot of people say and it really
helps me out in a lot of ways.  The prefs thing is easily solved with
Tools > Save Display Profile or Tools > Save Terminal Profile. (I
forget which one).

Now ... if only I can figure out how to send \033b via option+left arrow
:)
