I downloaded 1.0.2 and it behaves the same (default commands like 'Show 
variables' produce the error mentioned above), so I assume I hosed my 
config somehow. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to look further 
into this right now, but I'll let you know once I find out what's 
wrong.
