For the same procedure, here is my transcript:

===
Running latex on test.tex

This is pdfeTeXk, Version 3.141592-1.21a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.4)

Processing: ./test.tex

Document Class: article 2004/02/16 v1.4f Standard LaTeX document class

Complete transcript is in test.log

This is dvips(k) 5.95a Copyright 2005 Radical Eye Software

The only difference I see is the version numbers of our tools which
are slightly different (yours are newer).
Oh, and yours is running pdfTeXk and mine si running pdfeTeXk (with
an extra 'e').

Thanks,
Sylvain
